About This Game
GRANDMA BADASS POINT AND CLICK
GrandMA Badass is a 2D Cartoon-style point-and-click game where you’ll only need the mouse to control a 90-year-old grandma who will embark on an extraordinary adventure.
You’ll dive into an adventure game that combines puzzles and mysteries with a thrilling investigation involving various charismatic characters.
The game offers a scripted storyline that gradually immerses you in an adventure full of twists, cliffhangers, and a range of emotions… joy, sadness, panic, fear, euphoria, surprise…
It’s a game developed by a single person, Romuald Serrado, over a full-time period of 4 years, without any external funding, revenue, investment, or financial support. The game was created alongside another professional activity.
STORY
At the beginning, everything starts calmly with our little granny waking up early in the morning to feed her cat Marius.
GrandMa certainly didn’t expect to have such a terrible day.
And yet, it had such a bad start!
Awakened early in the morning by Marius, her hungry black cat, she’ll start feeling disillusioned and realize that her day is not going to be pleasant…
Forced to face the dangers of the Coronavirus and the hardships of poverty, GrandMa will quickly find herself in a series of grim situations, where she’ll have to deal with the underworld and the organized crime of her town… all to find her kidnapped cat on this dreadful day…
The first episode, available for purchase in May 2021, received excellent feedback from players. You can check the Steam reviews page, for example, to get an initial idea of how well-received this title was last year.
Important: To thank the initial buyers of the game, the full version of GrandMa Badass will replace Episode 1 for all early purchasers on Steam. This means that during the weekend of November 19-20, 2022, players will be pleasantly surprised to see their Episode 1 automatically replaced by the full game before the official release on Tuesday, November 22.
A CRAZY POINT AND CLICK GAME!
Just watch the game’s trailer above to understand that you’ll be immersed in a memorable and truly spicy adventure. The game is based on traditional point-and-click mechanics but with an incredibly streamlined navigation system for the most enjoyable mouse-controlled gameplay.
You place the cursor on what interests you, click, and discover what will happen next… Like any respectable point-and-click game, you’ll also have a quality inventory, allowing you to check the items you possess at any time and combine them if necessary to create new, useful items essential for solving some puzzles throughout your adventure.
GrandMa Badass also features a clever hint system; with a simple press of the ‘space’ key during the game, markers will appear on screen indicating important items to take or use to progress when you need a little nudge forward.
RELEASE AND SUPPORT
Grandma Badass was released on November 22, 2022 on the Steam and itch.io platforms.
However, it’s important to note that the game was previously released episodically, with Episode 1 in May 2021 and Episode 2 in September 2021. It was later removed from sale to offer players the most complete and enjoyable immersion possible.
Indeed, the decision was made to remove Episodes 1 and 2 from the store to present the game in its final and most comprehensive version. New additions, modifications, and enhancements to the gameplay have been made, providing players with a completely fresh experience.
The initial episodes previously published garnered numerous positive reviews from players, which you can read anytime here on Steam.
The game, for the moment, is available exclusively on PC for Windows.
It was developed using the AGS (Adventure Games Studio) development engine.
It launches by default in the French language, yet it provides a homepage allowing you to select your preferred language at the start: French, English, German, Spanish, or Italian.
You can also change the language during gameplay via the configuration option.
